Literacy
Available to the entire population, both young and adults. These classes are free and taught by our collaborators. We have been able to provide literacy education to elderly individuals as well as children just starting out.
Importance of Literacy
Literacy in childhood is one of the most essential foundations for cognitive, academic, and social development. Learning to read and write from an early age opens the door to all areas of knowledge, strengthening critical thinking, expanding vocabulary, and building communication skills. Through books and stories, children develop empathy and a deeper understanding of the world around them. A literate child grows with greater independence, confidence, and emotional intelligence, better equipped to navigate everyday life. Research consistently shows that early literacy is one of the strongest predictors of long-term academic success, future employment, and social mobility — making it one of the most valuable investments we can make in a child's growth and potential.
